Tytuł albumu (totalny odwet) odnosi się do zwiększonej agresywności zawartej na płycie, a teksty są bardziej konfrontacyjne i gniewne niż zwykle. Według Scotta Vogela jest to najbrzydszy, najbardziej negatywny album grupy.
