Mabel Van Buren foi una actriz teatral y de cine d'Estaos Xuníos, activa principalmente na dómina del cine mudu.
Biografía Nacida en Chicago, Illinois, como actriz teatral foi primer intérprete nes obres The Virginian y The Squaw Man (1909). Empecipiar nel cine con D.W. Griffith en 1910, actuando pa la compañía American Mutoscope and Biograph Company, que la so sede alcuéntrase en Nueva York. Van Buren empezó a destacar como actriz cinematográfica en 1914, coincidiendo col desenvolvimientu de los filmes en formatu llargumetraxe. Asina, protagonizó The Girl of the Golden West (1915), so la direición de Cecil B. DeMille, direutor que llevó a Van Buren al oeste, a Hollywood. Ellí, ella foi la primer estrella protagonista del estudiu Famous Players-Lasky, con sede en Vini Street, en Hollywood.
La so última actuación destacada tuvo llugar en Neighbor's Wives (1933), filme nel cual encarnaba a Mrs. Lee, anque siguió actuando nel cine hasta'l fallecimientu del so home, l'actor y direutor James Gordon.
