Orthochromis rugufuensis és una espècie de peix de la família dels cíclids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.
Morfologia Els mascles poden assolir els 5,7 cm de longitud total.
Distribució geogràfica Es troba a Àfrica: oest de Tanzània.
