A Blarinella az emlősök (Mammalia) osztályának Eulipotyphla rendjébe, ezen belül a cickányfélék (Soricidae) családjába és a vörösfogú cickányok (Soricinae) alcsaládjába tartozó nem.
Előfordulásuk A Blarinella-fajok előfordulási területe Délkelet-Ázsiában és Kína déli részén található.
