A legjobb férfi főszereplőnek járó Televíziós BAFTA-díjat a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) szervezet adja át.
Bár elsőként 1955-ben adták át, 1962-ben osztották ki először egy konkrét alakítás díjazásaként. 2010-től a legjobb férfi mellékszereplő kategóriát külön jutalmazzák.
A legtöbb, négy győzelmet Michael Gambon aratta. Benedict Cumberbatch hat jelölést szerzett a kategóriában.
