Toxeus è un genere di ragni appartenente alla famiglia Salticidae.
Distribuzione Le 11 specie sono state reperite in Asia sudorientale, India, Filippine, Giappone, Cina, Angola.
Tassonomia Per la descrizione delle caratteristiche di questo genere sono stati esaminati gli esemplari tipo di T. maxillosus .
Questo genere è stato rimosso dalla sinonimia con Myrmarachne a seguito di un lavoro di Prószyński del 2016.
Non sono stati esaminati esemplari di questo genere dal 2021.

Sinonimi Toxeus giganteus (); posta in sinonimia con T. maxillosus ( a seguito di un lavoro degli aracnologi Yamasaki e Ahmad del 2013. Toxeus gorontaloensis (); posta in sinonimia con T. bicuspidatus ( a seguito di un lavoro di Logunov (2021e).
