Iphimediidae — семейство морских бокоплавов.
Описание Тело сжатое, с дорсальными зубцами (за исключением мелких у Iphimedia gibba и отсутствующих у Pariphimedia normani). Рострум хорошо развит. Антенны удлиненные, жгутики с 5+ члениками; дополнительный жгутик 0-1 членистый. Ротовой аппарат имеет выраженное поле конической формы. Эпистом и лабрум сильно изменчивы, широкие или узкие, короткие или длинные, надрезанные или цельные. Резец мандибулы изменчив, широкий и зубчатый, переходящий в игольчатую или тупую форму, без зубцов, с мозолями или углублениями; ряд гребней отсутствует; моляр отсутствует или редуцирован (Stegopanoploea с коническим моляром); щупики всегда присутствуют, 3-членистые. Гнатоподы слабые, с удлинёнными члениками 5-6, гнатопод 1 часто жгутиковый, гнатопод 2 обычно немного длиннее или толще гнатопода 1; гнатоподы 1-2 проподохелатные, или гнатопод 1 простой у Nodotergum, мерус и карпус не образуются.
Классификация Известно 15 родов и около 100 видов, половина из которых из рода Iphimedia.
