Описание Крышечки тимбальных органов частично закрывают полость тимбала; крылья прозрачные, иногда с наслоениями; базальная ячейка переднего крыла более чем в два раза длиннее своей ширины; внутренняя ульнарная область (?= ulnar area 3) не расширена или расширена лишь очень незначительно к вершине; жилки переднего крыла M и CuA очень близко расположены или соприкасаются у базальной ячейки; грудь сужена кпереди; боковой край переднеспинки отчетливо угловатый или зубчатый; брюшной стернум самца тонкий, оперкулы самца удлиненные.
Распространение Палеарктика и Юго-Восточная Азия.
Систематика Включает около 30 родов и около 200 видов. Таксон в современном понимании был впервые выделен в 1905 годуDistant, W.L. (1905a) Rhynchotal notes. — XXIX. Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Ser. 7), 15, 58—70. , а его валидность в ранге трибы подтверждена в результате ревизии певчих цикад австралийским энтомологом Maxwell Sydney Moulds и его коллегами.. В 2021 году классификация была дополнена и триба Sinosenini Boulard, 1975 признаётся как синоним подтрибы Dundubiina Distant, 1905. Авторство трибы, принимаемой в широком таксономическом объёме вместе с Cosmopsaltriina, описывают иначе: Dundubiini Atkinson, 1886. Описание этой трибы, данное Аткинсоном (Atkinson, 1886Atkinson, E.T., 1886. Notes on Indian Rhynchota, no. 6. Addenda and index. Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bengal 55: 143–223.), было необычайно подробным для своего времени. Дистант (1905a) переосмыслил трибу, по сути, исключив признаки, упомянутые Аткинсоном. После этого новой ревизии трибы не было.
