Stenothoidae — семейство морских бокоплавов.
Описание Придаточный жгутик 0-2 членистый; мандибулярный моляр рудиментарный; наружные пластинки максиллипедов рудиментарные; кокса 1 очень маленькая и частично прикрыта следующими коксами; кокса 4 увеличенная, щитовидная, не заднедорсально выемчатая; членик 2 переопода 3 прямолинейный; уропод 3 одночленистый; тельсон цельный . Голова свободная, не сросшаяся с первым переонитом; открытая; рострум присутствует или отсутствует, короткий; глаза присутствуют, хорошо развиты или исчезнувшие; не сросшиеся; 1 пара; не выпуклые. Тело сжато с боков или субшаровидное; кутикула гладкая и дорсально килевидная.
Классификация Известно более 40 родов. Впервые таксон был описан в 1871 году норвежским морским биологом Йонасом Акселем Бёком (Jonas Axel Boeck)Boeck, A. 1871.
